My kind of love

My kind of love is a lot different from what you might want. But it is what you will get.

It’s not the kind that you see in the movies or the kinds that you read in the books. It’s the kind that you create every day as you go along, making your own rules.

It’s not the kind that holds your hand in large crowds, it’s the kind that clutches on your shirt silently amidst the throng of people.

It’s not the kind that measures the size of the diamond ring, it’s the kind that compares your palm against mine and declares a win.

It’s not the kind that puts on the best look for a date night, it’s the kind that comes back home and wears your clothes for snuggle time.

My kind of love is not the kind that keeps you warm on a cold night, it’s the kind that tickles you with cold fingers on your warm hands.

It’s not the kind that keeps me tingling with excitement, it’s the kind that celebrates boredom with a pizza slice.

It’s not the kind where I whisper sweet nothings in your ears, it’s the kind where a night-in is the sweetest sound you hear.

It’s not the kind that has crazed passion and sexy times, it’s the kind where I threaten you to get work done by a vicious bite.

It’s not the kind that makes me claim you as mine, it’s the kind where I hold you in my heart and let my love run free and wild.

My kind of love is not all roses and sunshine, it’s times of utter failure where our broken faith is repaired by silent nights.

My kind of love is something you can have but cannot keep.

It’s the kind of love that lets me love you, even if you move away from me. It’s not the kind that you can chain and keep it tied, it’s the kind that you can breathe in and out all the time.

My kind of love is different but it is real. If it’s your kind too, then this is surreal.
